Metal is ਧਾਤ in Punjabi. ਲੋਹਾ, that is iron, is the most common metal while ਇਸਪਾਤ, that is steel, is a very sturdy metal alloy. Punjabi women love gold(ਸੋਨਾ) jewellery. The picture shows the world famous Golden Temple, the Sikh shrine at Amritsar. The better part of the temple is gold plated.
