Indian Peacock

Bird is called ਪੰਛੀ in Punjabi. ਮੋਰ i.e. peacock is the National bird of India. It looks beautiful when it fan its tail feathers.

  3. ਕੋਇਲ = nightingale
  4. ਤਿੱਤਰ = partridge
  5. ਬਟੇਰਾ = quail

  9. ਇਲ = vulture
  10. ਕਾਂ = crow

1. Many Punjabi nouns end with kanna(ਆ). Such nouns are called regular nouns. The plurals of regular nouns are formed by replacing kanna(ਆ) with lanv(ਏ). Plurals of irregular nouns are formed by adding airha plus kanna with a bindi (ਆਂ) when the noun ends with a vowel and adding kanna with bindi to the noun. Write the plural forms of the following Punjabi nouns.
