- ਰੋਟੀ(ਫੁਲਕਾ or ਚਪਾਤੀ) = Flattened pan cake (cooked in tandoor, a special oven or a flat pan)
- ਪਰਾਂਠਾ = A special ਰੋਟੀ cooked with ghee (clarified butter) and usually stuffed
- ਨਾਨ = Naan bread
- ਦਾਲ਼ = A dish made from pulses specially lentils.
- ਸਬਜੀ = Vegetable (also a vegetable dish)
- ਸਾਗ = A dish made from the mustard stems.
- ਚੂਰੀ = Scrambled ਰੋਟੀ treated with butter and sugar

- ਜਲੇਬੀ = Orange sweet
- ਲੱਡੂ = Orange sweet made from gram flour
- ਬਰਫੀ = Indian sweet made from paneer
- ਪੇਠਾ = Pumpkin in syrup
