I am on a wikibreak due to having achieved my main organizational goals for the cookbook. Find me as Kellen` on wikipedia.
I'm a vegan "computer scientist" primarily working on the cookbook. I've written the Cookbook:Policy module to clarify and centralize how things are/should be done in the cookbook. I've been editing wikibooks since 2005-01-06, and I have been an administrator here since 2006-10-31. I wrote a draft of the decision making policy, upon which the current version is based.
I'm currently living in San Diego, California Berlin, Germany Bristol, England Malmö, Sweden / Copenhagen, Denmark, San Francisco, California, Lund, Sweden.
TODO[edit | edit source]
- Remove category from Template:Recipesummary as it just leads to confusion.
- Merge "type" pages with their respective categories (Cookbook:Cake with Category:Cake recipes). Possibly rename the category.
- Actually, maybe just use DPL2s for this and unmerge the merged pages.
- Format or delete 1881, decameron and convoluted recipes in Category:Cookbook pages needing work.
- Merge pages on Cookbook:Lentil, Cookbook:Dal, Cookbook:Urad Dal, Cookbook:Dahl, etc

- Completed 2005/08/04. I have gone through Cookbook:Recipes and added appropriate templates, done some formatting, and added obvious categories.
- Completed 2005/09/30. Formatted recipes in Category:Cookbook pages needing work, except for 1881 pages, decameron pages, and really convoluted ones.
- Completed 2005/10/24. Create descriptions for cookbook categories from Special:Categories.
- Completed 2005/10/24. Put multi-parented categories, e.g. Category:Beef stews into Category:Cookbook:Unnecessary categories
- Completed 2005/10/24. Add {{cooknav}} to all cookbook categories.
- Completed 2005/10/24. Normalize category names by looking at Special:Categories.
- Completed 2005/10/24. Categorize all uncategorized cookbook categories in Special:Uncategorizedcategories.
- Completed 2006/07/24. Reorganize Category:Cookbook.
- Completed 2006/10/26. Go through every page in the Cookbook Index and do obivous formatting and categorization.
- Completed 2007/01/17. Categorized Category:Cookbook templates.
