Non-suspension strangulation is a type of strangulation that does not require the suspension of the physical body.

There are two sorts of non-suspension strangulation:

  • Ligature strangulation - applied by the use of a cord-like object.
  • Manual strangulation - applied by use of the fingers or an other extremity.
