Ofe ugu is a typical Igbo soup served with swallows such as plantain fufu, amala or semo. It is easy and quick to prepare.

  • Spoon

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Rinse the ugu leaves, and boil in water for a few minutes.
  2. Add palm oil, ground pepper, and onion. Cook for few minutes.
  3. Stir, then add seasoning cube, beef, ground crayfish, and salt to taste. Cook for few minutes.
  4. Serve the soup with the swallow of your choice.
