Getting help
  • See the Wikibooks help pages for common issues.
  • Remember, every edit is saved, so if you make mistakes, you can revert to an earlier version if needed.
  • Get help from the community in the Reading room or in our IRC channel.
  • You cannot upload an image until you have been a member for at least 4 days. If your upload is tagged with {{nld}}, {{bfu}}, or {{nfur}}, please read the template message as it explains the violation of our media policy. Please be sure to provide the required {{information}}: a license tag and source citation are always required; fair use images require a {{fair use rationale}}. Get help in the user assistance room.

Vrutt001 - I love your philosophy, but is it a philosophy on teaching or life? Cjohn144 (talk) 01:20, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thats really cool that you are from East Tennessee, I dont meet many people here from that area. What highschool did you go too, because I also live on the border of TN/VA? Aearh001 (talk) 01:27, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...It was great to revisit your page and read your updated posting. Instilling that passion for learning is the most important thing you can do as a teacher. As fast as this world is changing, learning is something we can never stop doing. I'm 54 - and while the wrinkles and graying hair give away my age, my passion for learning and my willingness to embrace change helps keep me young at heart. My mom learned how to roller-blade at 65 (I taught her - I learned when I was 40), and my girlfriend just learned how to ride a bike for the first time - she's 62. Who said you can't teach an old dog ;-) Speaking of dogs, I loved the photos - especially of your dog! We have two golden retreivers. They shed like crazey and track an unbelievable amount of dirt into the house, but I wouldn't trade them for anything - even a clean house!Cjohn144 (talk) 13:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cpine006 (talk) 15:28, 29 January 2009 (UTC) Hi, Vanessa right? I think we sit next to eachother in class! That is awesome that you were in the Navy. I grew up in a Navy family (mom, dad, and brother) and then I married a sailor! I can't get away from it! I think the Navy is great and does provide lots of oportunites like you mentioned. It took me a while to decide that I wanted to be a teacher also. I never really thought about teaching as an option but I loved school and learning. I wanted to be in school for the rest of my life. Then it hit me...I should teach! I'm really excited to be getting my master's and begin teaching. I totally agree with you that we should learn as much as we can each day! I hope that my students will enjoy school like I have. See you in class![reply]

Removal of No License Tags[edit source]

Hi, please don't keep removing the no license tags from these images until you've added license details. Updating it to say you produced the image is not sufficient - you need to release the image using an appropriate license. For example, you could release your image under the GFDL license by adding {{GFDL-self}}, make it public domain by adding {{PD-self}} or use the creative commons license {{CC-by-3.0}} tag. Just deleting the no license tag won't stop the image being deleted if you don't license it for use here.

Thanks Unusual? Quite TalkQu 01:23, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, looks like you are trying to release them as public domain, so I've applied the right templates now. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Unusual? Quite TalkQu 01:26, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
