Ove is a typical Nigerian pudding prepared from yam.
Ingredients

- 1 medium-sized yam, peeled and grated
- ¼ cup shredded fish
- 2 tbsp groundnut oil
- ¼ ea. onion, chopped
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 wrapping leaf (e.g. banana leaf)
Procedure
[edit | edit source]- Remove unwanted substances from the fish. Then, rinse and cook for few minutes.
- Combine the groundnut oil, onion, pepper paste, and fish to make a sauce.
- Stir the sauce into the grated yam along with the salt.
- Wrap this mixture up in the leaf, then boil for a few minutes to cook it.
