- 6 bananas, halved but unpeeled
- 1 cup weak brewed coffee
- ¼ cup white granulated sugar
- ½ stick cinnamon
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp butter
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Combine all ingredients except bananas in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat until reduced to ½ cup. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Brush bananas liberally with coffee mixture. Grill over medium high heat just until marked and slightly charred.
- Remove from heat, peel, and drizzle several more spoonfuls of syrup over bananas. Serve with remaining syrup on the side.
