The image namespace contains images and the pages describing them. These include the copyright tags. Each image must have a copyright tag because Wikibooks needs to track the permissions for storing images here.

My image is missing a copyright tag, or has {{no license}}.: What you need to do is go to the image page (just click the image wherever you inserted it), edit the page, and add a correct tag. For example, if the image is a work of the US government, add: {{PD-USGov}}. For screenshots, give the screenshot the same license as the program itself has. For your own work we recommend that you duel-license your work.

Thanks for uploading Image. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about what Wikibooks includes because of copyright law, and requires that we maintain a strict copyright policy. Image and other files you uploaded may soon be deleted because there is missing license or source information.

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Please take the time to read Wikibooks:Media to learn more about what copyright information is required to satisfy our requirements and remember to include this important information for every file that you upload in the future as well. Please edit image descriptions pages directly to add a license template and source; there's no need to upload the image again.
