  • upper back/neck cold (warming herbs)
  • catches cold, nose runs (Lu), sneezing (Lu)
  • Spicy Promotes Sweating
  • vents external evil
  • too much sweating weakens body
  • releases body aches
  • floating pulse
  • diuretic, good for edema
  • treat wind-damp
  • good for wheezing

Different Seasons cause different conditions:

  • Winter (Wind-Cold)
  • Spring (Wind-Cold/Wind-Heat)
  • Summer (Damp-Heat)
  • Autumn (Dry)

General Contraindications:

  • Qi & Yin deficiency causing excessive sweating

General Caution:

  • Yin deficiency
