Description

Witches attack with splash potions with negative effects (eg. slowness, poison etc.) and uses positive potions on itself (like healing, fire resistance and water breathing).

It first chucks a splash potion of slowness at you. Then it goes for poison, then weakness. If you have all three status effects, it uses splash potions of instant damage.

They often drink healing potions when injured, fire resistance when on fire and water breathing when in water.

If a villager is struck by lightning, it becomes a witch.

Strategies

When a witch is drinking a potion, it cannot attack, so is vulnerable to being attacked, so that is when to strike with a merciless fury of sword attacks.

Bows are quite effective against ranged mobs, so consider making one early.

If a witch is drinking a potion when it dies, it has a chance to drop it.
