Arthur Edwyn or Edgar Walz was a prominent amateur operator, amateur broadcaster, amateur club administrator in the late 1920s and early 1930s. His station callsign was 4AW (4=Queensland, A=Arthur, W=Walz) and he operated from Brisbane, Queensland. He learned the plumbing trade in his father's business, but eventually transitioned his hobby into a radio repair business.
