The New York pussytoes (Antennaria) species can be separated into two groups:
  • the A. neglecta/howellii group with mostly a single vein in each basal leaf and
  • the A. plantaginifolia/parlinii group with 3 to 5 (or as many as 7) veins per basal leaf.[1]
