New England cuisine is a type of American cuisine found in the north east United States. It is characterized by extensive use of seafood and dairy products and often involves either baking or slow cooking vegetables with a thickened broth.

Traditional New England dinners sometimes include side dishes of cottage cheese, boiled/or blanched green beans as well as soup or salad.
