Alabama white sauce is a variety of mayonnaise-based white barbecue sauce. Its origin is frequently traced to Robert Gibson of Big Bob Gibson’s Bar-B-Q restaurant in Alabama[1][2][3][4]. The sauce can be brushed on meat or used as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Place all ingredients in a very large blender or food processor. Blend for 1 minute, or until thoroughly combined and mixture is smooth. Pour sauce into a large bowl.
  2. Use when grilling chicken or other poultry or meat; brush lightly over the chicken (or meat) during the last few minutes of grilling. This sauce is also great for dipping; set some sauce aside for passing at the table.
