To preserve edit histories and observe the attribution requirements of the licenses, content from our sister projects should be imported rather than simply pasted into a new module. Wikibooks administrators and importers can import pages from any of the English-language projects, Simple English Wikibooks, Meta, and Wikispecies.

Requests to import can be made to help in making or expanding a book, and to move works from other projects that fit Wikibooks' scope. Place requests below and an administrator will try to perform the import promptly.

Note that administrators are not responsible for moving and cleaning up pages. Please watch this page for when the import is complete and take care of the imported page.

Administrators and importers: To import a page, go to Special:Import. After import, add {{dewikify}} to the page and make a note where the imported page has ended up. Pages will by default import into Transwiki:Page's name.

Where non-free media is required in a book, editors may request an administrator or uploader to upload the file by making a request below. Please provide the non-free media rationale.

Pages with extremely long edit histories may fail to import. In this case, a single revision which gives attribution to the source wiki will be imported. While this isn't ideal, it should satisfy our licensing. Note that repeated attempts to import may eventually bring over the history, so if it fails on the first attempt, you might want to try it a few more times. Please see bug 15000 (and vote for it to get it resolved sooner).

Import and Merge[edit]

Use this section for imports that need to be "history-merged" with a module that has already been started using copy-paste.

v:Breton, v:Brezhoneg Unan, v:Brezhoneg Daoù, v:Brezhoneg Tri, v:Brezhoneg Pevar, v:Brezhoneg Pemp, v:Brezhoneg C'hwec'h, as well as all their subpages[edit]

The Breton Wikibook has almost no content, and these are all good courses that will require very little adaption to work here. I don't intend to adapt them much, just Wikify them and make them sub lessons of Breton. (Sorry to the importers about this one.) Liam987 talk 22:35, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

@Liam987: What are the names intended for these pages within wikibook Breton? With a lot of subpages, you'll want admin help to move them all after import anyway, so it seems the operation might as well be done in one fell swoop. --Pi zero (discusscontribs) 00:40, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
@Pi zero: How about v:BretonBreton/Introductory lessons, v:Brezhoneg UnanBreton/Level 1, v:Brezhoneg DaoùBreton/Level 2, v:Brezhoneg TriBreton/Level 3, v:Brezhoneg PevarBreton/Level 4, v:Brezhoneg PempBreton/Level 5, v:Brezhoneg C'hwec'hBreton/Level 6. Thanks! Liam987 talk 01:08, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
@Liam987: All Yes check.svg Done , not helped by Wikiversity being poor with adding categories to pages but greatly helped by having the importUpload ability to do them in bulk. I think I got all the subpages and they should all be in the right books / right places. QuiteUnusual (discusscontribs) 09:20, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Couple of things. I have fixed most (or all, depending on when you read this) of the intrabook navigation, etc. There might be more to do. Secondly some of the media files are missing so they must have been uploaded locally to Wikiversity rather than Commons. So some Commons uploads may be needed to complete the book. Great. Thanks! Liam987 talk 11:41, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

For Breton. Liam987 talk 20:58, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Yes check.svg Done {{Breton/Phonetics}}. --Pi zero (discusscontribs) 21:47, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Messing around with creating a page header for Wikijunior:Asia, and I want to try something with this template. Liam987 talk 22:06, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

{{Superimpose}}. --Pi zero (discusscontribs) 01:02, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
