Rubber[edit]

Method 1[edit]

This method is for a general, computer-performance-oriented rubber material. EXRubber.jpg
Color

  • Col: (Adjust as needed)
    • R - 0.15
    • G - 0.14
    • B - 0.12

  • Spec: (Change as needed)
    • R - 1
    • G - 1
    • B - 1

Shaders

  • Diffuse Shader:(Minnaert)
    • Ref - 0.7
    • Dark - 0.6

  • Specular Shader:(Blinn)
    • Spec - 1.5
    • Hard - 10
    • Refr - 2

Some people think it looks TOO smooth. If you feel that way, add a very light texture:
Texture
Tex Type - Stucci

  • StucciType - Wall In
  • NoiseType - Hard Noise
  • NoiseSize - 0.05
  • Turbulance - 3F
  • Noise Basis - Voronoi F1

Map Input

  • Coordinates - Orco
  • SurfaceType - Cube

Map To

  • MapType - Nor
    • NorSlider - 0.3

Method 2, w/SSS[edit]

This method is a better quality and more realistic Rubber material, but works best using SubSurface Scattering, so it may affect the time of your Render.
