Mcott004 (talk) 04:15, 2 February 2009 (UTC) Tjohn100, It was great reading about someone who shares the same passion with sports and teaching as I do myself. I myself have played sports my whole life starting in T-Ball for baseball. Played for many years and also played AAU ball as well. I got to middle school and football became my life. I played throughout middle school and on into high school where i made the varsity team my sophmore year and started. I then went on to play in college at Chowan Univ. which is in a tiny town in North Carolina. I still enjoy playing adult softball and etc. As far as your teaching philosophy it seems to coorelate to mine as well with a sports emaphasis. I tend to like teaching and sports together becuase your striving for one common goal and that is to be the best at what you are doing. Games in the classroom and other various activities are definatley needed. It livens up the classroom and keeps the students involved with other students. Take care.[reply]

Hello Tjohn100,

Good morning! I made a mistake in plastering my signature last week in your userpage... my apology. That was the time when I'm not sure what to do and trying to explore more about this web. Presently, I'm still exploring, but I understand the basics now (finally)...Well, I was in Alexandria, VA last summer! It's always nice to hear from someone that believe teaching should be fun, and I agree with you. Using varied strategies, e.g small group instruction is one way to make kids active, plus technology integration throughout the lesson will make it more interesting and exciting, coupled with your creativity and flexibility of the lesson.Teachtheworld (talk) 17:48, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Tyler, glad you like my page! I am not familiar at all with NoVa. I really should have explored the MD, DC, VA area while I was living up there. I just went to NoVa over winter break to take a yoga class, but that's all! Yea, I don't like GoGo...the only group I can tolerate is Mambo Sauce, because to me they don't sound like they are beating on pots and pans the whole time. I do like Bmore club music a little more, just for the dancing, I rarely listen to it on my free time.

And yea I know, not too many people think abt becoming PE teachers anymore, but it is so vital these days...have you seen the obesity rates rising in our youth. These kids now a days are so sedentary, no sort of activity is being done, so if I can help some way or another with increasing activity levels in children then I want to be all over it!!!!
