Hello and welcome to Wikibooks!

Here are some tips to help you get started:

You will find more resources in Community Portal. If you want to ask a question, visit the Study help desk, the Staff lounge, IRC channel or ask me personally on my talk page. For site news, see the Bulletin board. It might be an idea if you add this page to your "watchlist" so that you can see when any new information is posted there.

Images[edit source]

Hi Apfelmus. No problem deleting... I can't "move them", but you can just re-upload it to the new filename and then mark the old file with {{delete|re-uploaded under a new name}}, and leave a link to the new image name so we can be sure.

One thing you might consider is uploading to Commons instead, that way if someone wants to translate your book or otherwise use it on another project, they won't have to re-upload it.

BTW, if you want to make a link to an image file without making it appear on the page, use colons, so that [[:Image:Lacewing3035.jpg]] makes Image:Lacewing3035.jpg (you can still click through to get to the image page... note that it's on commons).--SB_Johnny | talk 16:48, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
