A raid group is a group of up to 40 players partitioned into subgroups of 5 players each.

Raid groups are mainly used in instances and battle grounds.

Members of a raid group can chat with each other by typing /raid or just /ra.

Converting to raid[edit | edit source]

To convert a group into a raid group press the Convert to raid button on the raid tab of the social panel. You can open the social panel by pressing O or clicking the ! button at the bottom of your screen.

Promoting[edit | edit source]

You can promote members of the raid group to help you manage the group. This lets them invite other players and adjust group members.

It is a good idea to promote at least one player in case you get disconnected or you are just too busy to deal with everyone. To promote a member of the group right click their name in the raid tab of the social panel. You will get a dropdown menu, select promote.
