Hello, this is GuoXia. My interests here in Wikibooks are in the fields of history and literature, and I hope to apply what I know of Chinese history to the up and coming Ancient History wikibook. I had the wonderful opportuniy over the summer to stay in China and Taiwan with a friend of mine. In Taipei, we stayed for a month with my friend's grandfather, who was the ex-Minister of Defence, Minister of Education, and Minister of State for the nation of Taiwan. I hope that the experiences in Chinese history and culture that I gained thereby (my friend's grandfather always being willing to educate the American) may prove themselves applicable in any work I do here.

Works in Progress

• The Fall of the Han Dynasty- a possible addition to the Ancient History Wikibook.
• Introduction to Chinese History- Also for the Ancient History Wikibook.
• Eventually, I hope to find the time to write a more in depth article for a book on the Three Kingdoms Period of China, which was one of the most turbulent times in that nation's history. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any place for the application of it yet!
