E (e) is the second alphabet and the second vowel.

It is pronounced like e in bed in stressed syllable and like e in her in an unstressed syllable.

It represents the "i" sound.

  • É, é

It is pronounced as "ay" as in say.

  • Ē, ē

It is pronounced as a long sound of i. The sound i is as ee in seen.

  • È, è

It is pronounced as a in along.

Diacritical Usage

  • Diaeresis(Ë, ë)

It is one of the three vowels that uses diaeresis for denoting the longer sound. Others being "a" and "u".

  • Acute(É, é) and Macron(Ē, ē)

These are used as a ligand in addition of a root and registered suffixes.

It is used for escaping Ificiana-12 algorithm. It preserves the words to which it is attached to. This rule is called the rule is è
