Sinai is a peninsula in Egypt. It is situated between the Mediterranean Sea to the north, and the Red Sea to the south. It is the only part of Egyptian territory located in Asia. Sinai is the land bridge between Africa and Asia. Its area is about 60,000km2 with a population about 500,000.
