Persecutory delusions are one of the sign of psychosis, usually seen in sufferers of schizophrenia and paranoia, are the most common type of delusions. Sufferers feel conscientiously being persecuted, for example, being verbally taunt, sneer at, followed and being listened to secretively, etc. Sufferers can develop wide and systematic range of persecutory thoughts, for example, the fear of being assassinated, by a whole group of assassination organization. So sufferers will do everything to protect oneself, live life excessively prudently. Because of the fear of being persecuted, sufferers social life and daily livings will be affected.
