Speedrunning is completing a game in as little time as possible, and Minecraft is a freeform block building and survival game. This book is a strategy guide to speedrunning Minecraft Java Edition. In the 2010's both Minecraft and Speedrunning gained massive popularity in the gaming community, and as a natural result Minecraft speedrunning gained popularity. Minecraft is fairly unique among freeform games for having a "ending" - and as a result beating Minecraft is usually defined as defeating the final boss known as the Ender Dragon.
