Beds allow you to sleep through the night and skip it. On multiplayer, all players must sleep to skip to day.

Beds can be found in villages.
Crafting recipe:

This makes a bed.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Sleeping in a bed in the Nether and The End will cause it to explode with a force stronger than TNT. This stops you setting your spawn in dangerous dimentions with no way back out, and stops you easily killing the Ender Dragon.
- Villagers need beds for their trades to restore once disabled.
- The wool you make your bed with must all be of the same colour. The bed will come be the same colour as the wool used. You can change it by using dye on it (on consoles and bedrock edition) or crafting it with dye (on java edition). This will save dye, as you won't be using one on each wool (a total of three) but only 1.
