The two main types of brush for watercolour are sable and synthetic. They come in shapes of round or flat brushes.

Others brushes include the rigger brush, chisel brush, mop brush, and fan brush.

Tips:[edit | edit source]

If you can, buy the best quality of brushes. The hairs of the cheaper brushes tend to fall out quicker.
Don't leave your brush in the water for a long time.
