Improvisational Acting

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

Improvisational Acting is acting spontaneously without a script, either for fun or out of necessity. It is often used for comic effect in theater. It can also be used to cover for missing/forgotten lines or just to add more creativity (if the director and the situation permit). It is a good way to extend and deepen the interpretation of a character and is generally useful for any acting situation, even for stand-up comics as a way to engage the public.
