While technically not part of iLife, this feature on all Macs that came with an Apple Remote, lets you enjoy your media from your sofa.

The Front Row Remote[edit | edit source]

Front Row is a feature on some of Apple's latest Macs that lets you control certain functions of iLife from your sofa using a special remote. This remote is a curvy white rectangle reminiscent of the iPod shuffle and the now-defunct iPod mini. It has only six buttons on it: Play/Pause, +, -, >>, <<, and MENU.

Getting around Front Row[edit | edit source]

To show Front Row, press the MENU button on your remote. Your Mac desktop flies away into the background and four gargantuan icons rotate into place. Pressing MENU again hides Front Row and brings you back to your desktop, exactly the way you left it.
