Archie Francis Marshall was a prominent amateur operator, amateur broadcaster, amateur club participant from the late 1920s through to his passing in 1982. A blacksmith by trade, he expand the family business into fitting and turning. His station callsign was 4AF (4=Queensland, A=Archie, F=Francis) and he operated from Clifton, Queensland.
