History[edit | edit source]

TV-Boy was first released in 1992 by Akor as an unofficial clone of the Atari 2600 with a number of built in games.[1] The console was advertised in magazines.[2]

A redesigned Super-TV Boy, with a detachable controller, was released in 1995 by Akor.[3] The device was sold under other brands, such as Systema.[4]

Technology[edit | edit source]

The system is a clone of the Atari 2600, and uses a clone of the MOS 6507 CPU clocked at 1.19 megahertz.[1][3] Most system functions are performed by a single 48 pin chip.[5]
