The console was announced by August 2016.[1]

Launch[edit | edit source]

The system was released later in 2016 for $59.99 USD or 49.99 British Pounds.[2]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Due to emulation issues, the system was generally received poorly by critics at launch.[2][3] However, some reviewers did consider the system as a fair value for the price.[4]

Later on, three more versions Retro Bit Generations consoles were made for a total of 4 consoles in the series by 2018.[5]

Hardware[edit | edit source]

The system has an HDMI output port.[6] The system also had three RCA jacks for composite video and stereo audio.[7]

The system was shipped with two controllers.[3]

Software[edit | edit source]

Licenced games were played on the system via emulation.[7]

Games[edit | edit source]

The system shipped with a non-expandable library of commercial games.[3]

The system also shipped with some system specific games, which were primarily clones of other games.[8]
