The JXD 1000 was a handheld game console released in 2009 by the Shenzhen China based firm JinXing Digital CO.Ltd (JXD for short).[1] The system cost $88 in 2009.[2] The system was primarily used to play unlicensed retro games through emulation.[3]
The system is powered by a Sunplus 8000 series chipset and a proprietary firmware.[1]
The handheld formfactor was similar to a PSP, but featured an integrated rear camera.[3] The user interface mimics the style of iOS used on Apple iPhones at the time.[3]
