The ESPboy page was launched in 2019.^[1] In 2019 the base components required to build an ESPboy cost $12,^[2] a notably low cost for a console at the time.

Technology[edit | edit source]

The ESPboy was based on an existing development board - the WeMos D1 Mini ESP8266.^[2]
