The Archimedes line of computers launched in 1987.[1]

The Acorn Archimedes had a small, but dedicated playerbase.[2]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

The Acorn Archimedes was considered relevant into the 1990's,[3] with some commercial support for the platform occurring as late as 1997.[4]

Technology[edit | edit source]

The Acorn Archimedes used an ARM2 CPU, and was one of the first widely available consumer computers to use an ARM architecture processor.[5]
