Wainar filawa is a type of Hausa pancake. Waina is a type of fried cake, and filawa refers to flour, so the name roughly translates to 'flour pancake'. This version contains added vegetables.

- Bowl
- Frying pan
- Stove
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually stir in water until you have a batter of medium thickness.
- Stir in some palm oil, then the sliced onions and pepper.
- Heat a frying pan, and brush with a small amount of oil
- Pour the batter into the pan, and cook until it turns golden.
- Flip the pancake, and cook until golden.
- Remove from the heat, and serve.
