Oatmeal and red lentils cooked in chicken broth with Sriracha. This can be made with only oats, but red lentils add flavor.

[edit | edit source]- Cook the lentils in water until they are very soft.
- If there is any remaining water, strain the lentils.
- Mash the lentils.
- In a saucepan, heat the chicken broth.
- Return lentils to the heat and add heated chicken broth and oats.
- When oats are cooked, add Sriracha. The amount of Sriracha depends entirely on your preference.
- Add around ½ tbsp honey and enough salt to season.
