Peeled bean porridge is a typical Nigerian food prepared from peeled beans. It is served with pap, gaari, or custard.

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Soak the beans in cold water, then remove their skins.
  2. Grind together the pepper and crayfish.
  3. Boil the peeled beans until tender.
  4. Stir in the pepper, crayfish, and onions. Cook until the onions are softened and the mixture reaches a porridge-like consistency.
  5. Add palm oil and salt to taste.

Notes, tips, and variations[edit | edit source]

  • If the porridge is prepared for a baby less than a year old, do not include pepper and salt.
