Peeled bean porridge is a typical Nigerian food prepared from peeled beans. It is served with pap, gaari, or custard.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Soak the beans in cold water, then remove their skins.
- Grind together the pepper and crayfish.
- Boil the peeled beans until tender.
- Stir in the pepper, crayfish, and onions. Cook until the onions are softened and the mixture reaches a porridge-like consistency.
- Add palm oil and salt to taste.
Notes, tips, and variations[edit | edit source]
- If the porridge is prepared for a baby less than a year old, do not include pepper and salt.
