This is a recipe for simple cooked rice, but made with oat milk instead of water. It is more nutrient-dense than rice cooked with water, and it has a sweet flavor when made with store-bought oat milk. This rice can be used as a substitute for cooked rice in any recipe.

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Wash the rice and drain the water.
  2. Pour the oat milk and rice into a pot.
  3. Put the pot on the stove, and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until foam appears.
  4. Start stirring the mixture with a spoon, and continue stirring until the mixture boils.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring, until almost all the liquid is gone.
  6. Remove from the heat and serve.

Notes, tips, and variations[edit | edit source]

  • This recipe will leave some oat milk residue at the bottom of the pot.
