Nigerian peppered snail is a dish of boiled snails, onions, pepper, and spices. It is easy to make and enjoyed in most Nigerian homes.

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Wash the snails with vinegar and hot water to remove the slime.
  2. Place the snails in a pot along with the sliced onions, grated peppers, and sliced bell peppers. Add the bay leaf, bouillon powder, oil, and a pinch of salt. Cover with water, and bring to a simmer.
  3. Simmer for at least 17 minutes, adjusting the seasoning as needed.
  4. Serve and enjoy.
