Nigerian fish cake is a type of savory cake containing flaked cod. It can be made in two ways, using either a potato or flour-based mixture. It can be served with pap, bread, or custard.

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash the potatoes
  2. Combine the mashed potatoes and flaked fish. Season with stock cube, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix in the beaten egg and cheerios.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties. Fry the patties on each side in an oiled pan.
  5. Serve either warm or cold.
