Haupia is Hawaiian pudding made of coconut milk and cornstarch (originally Polynesian arrowroot starch).

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

  • 3 cups of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Mix coconut milk with sugar and salt over a medium heat
  2. Slowly add cornstarch and stir until thickened
  3. Pour into a pan or square form
  4. Cool for an hour
  5. Cut into squares
