Denderu is a typical traditional way of cooking ram meat by the Kanuri tribe. It is easy to prepare.

Procedure[edit | edit source]

  1. Pound together the onions and pepper in a mortar to make a paste. Mix in the maggi cubes and season with salt to taste.
  2. Rub the pepper paste all over the mutton.
  3. Bake the meat until soft.

  • During the preparation of denderu, the abdominal and the head parts of the ram are excluded.
