Using GNOME/Application windows

Applications in GNOME appear in Windows. Windows are usually box-shaped and can be manipulated.

Things that can appear as Windows include

  • Folders and Files in the File Manager.
  • Applications
  • Message boxes
  • Preference screens
  • Notes

By default, the following layout is used
