The core of A House was the trio of Dave Couse, who wrote all the lyrics and sometimes played acoustic guitar, Fergal Bunbury (lead guitar) and Martin Healy (bass). Three other members – Dave Dawson (drums), David Morrissey (keyboards) and Susan Kavanagh (backing vocals) – recorded and toured with the band but were less involved in the group’s writing and development.
