[edit] A Common Format for Units and Equations
Equations and units are an integral part of teaching most technical subjects. To help general readability there are common editorial guidelines in technical literature. The goal of a textbook is to introduce a student to a new topic and allow him or her to engage in intelligent discourse and part of intelligent discourse is written communication.
