Prealgebra for Two-Year Colleges/Appendix (procedures)/Dividing fractions

To divide fractions, we change the division problem into a multiplication problem, and we replace the second factor with its reciprocal. Example:

$\frac{2}{21} \div \frac{\color{Red}22}{\color{Blue}35} = \frac{2}{21} \times \frac{\color{Blue}35}{\color{Red}22}$.

Then we multiply and reduce as usual.
