Online OsiriX Documentation/Opening non-DICOM images and movies

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

< ^ >

OsiriX supports non-DICOM images and movies. That means you can handle any images or image sequences in OsiriX as if they were DICOM images. In other words, you can then rotate them, zoom in or out, and manipulate the window, level and color look-up table (CLUT).

Once you have imported these images into OsiriX, you can then export them to a file on your disk or to a PACS system in DICOM format. OsiriX will also let you export them in RAW, JPEG, TIFF or Quicktime format or even directly to your e-mail program.
