Introduction

This book will be about the properties of materials at the most fundamental level, with a particular bias on the application of these properties to electronic systems. This book forms the basis of the book on Semiconductors. This book will start from considering the electron as a particle in a material, and will progress to the properties of conductive and semiconductive materials.

All pages in this book so far are badly in need of work. This is a wiki after all, so any contributers with knowledge on this subject should feel free to help out.
